My friend, Twinkie, was in town this weekend. I took her up to Estes Park on Saturday to give her a glimpse of Colorado in all its autum glory. This place is beautiful.
She spent only 3 days here... and she fell in love with it. She is going to try to convince her son and his family to move here.
Colorado has that effect on people.
But don't tell anyone. We don't want to let the secret out. In fact, if anyone asks, tell them it sucks. Tell them the weather is horrible - all the time. Especially this time of year. There's no color to speak of. Grumpy people everywhere. The air smells like cow poo (which, sometimes, is the actual truth). There's nothing to do. Terrible restaurants. No place to hike or camp or hunt or fish or ski.... You're better off staying where you are and leaving Colorado for us weird people.
That's what you tell them.

My brother moved there with his wife about 20 years ago. We love to visit them and they love to visit us. But I think their roots are firmly planted in Boulder. But my nephew recently left the nest for college in the the Seattle area so there is hope :) I miss you Kyra at Hearts and your wisdom. Smooches! The next time we go and visit I will be looking you up!!
Boulder is not far away at all! Easy drive from my office.... So, yes! Make sure you let me know when you're headed this way and we'll plan to get together!
I've been thinking about and praying for all you ladies in our Hearts group. I miss you all SO much! Good laughs... good tears... And lots of chocolate. I still haven't found a church hear. How sad is that?
I'll email Loraine soon and send a letter to you all.
Love you!!!!
That would be lovely.
My other brother use to live in Denver and went to a church called scum of the earth church....totally not joking.
Wow. I wonder if that's right next to the church with no self esteem.
